The Beauty of Prayers 祈禱中的美麗
Who
doesn't use a phone to call? In one way or another, we would probably
have to rely on a phone (smartphone or home phone) to communicate with
others--whether texting or conversation. However, with phones we have to
pay a certain monthly fee in order to get connected. Have you ever
thought about the one phone number that doesn't require a monthly
payment/subscription? The only phone number that is opened 24/7 and
doesn't require any overseas charges. If you're thinking about the
"Prayer" hotline, you've got it!
What is
so special about praying? Why do we do so? Whom do we pray for? Let's
explore a little bit about the amazing tool in which we can use to
communicate with the Lord above!

不用電話的？我們每一個人都會用電話來跟別人溝通的。無論是手機或許家裡的電話我們每一天都會用這個工具來跟別人聯繫。可是，用手機或者家裡的電話都要交
月費的。沒有叫就不能用。你有沒有想過有什麽電話是不用錢而可以隨時隨地打的呢？如果你想到 “祈禱” 熱線那就對了～！其實祈禱有什麽特別呢？爲什麽我
們要祈禱呢？我們是為誰來祈禱的呢？讓我們一一的來研究一下這個與天主溝通的奇妙工具！
Prayer 祈禱
Prayer.
To me prayer is a very special gift that God gave to us. It is an
unconditional gift of love and care from him that allows us to
communicate with him no matter where we are. In fact, with prayer, we
are able to further strengthen our relationship with him. Prayer is
indeed a very special gift that we should cherish and not take it for
granted.
禱告，對我來說，是一份天主賜給我們珍貴的禮物。直著這份含有無限愛和關懷的禮物我們可以跟天父爸爸聊天。我們可以直著祈禱讓我們跟主的關係變得更加的親密。我們一定要珍惜這份美麗地禮物因為能夠得到天父的愛和關心不是一件理所當然的事情來！
Why do we pray? 爲什麽要祈禱？
Prayer
allows self reflection and personal conversations with God. You may
tell him anything and he would never share it with anyone else. Prayer
enables us to ask God for his help and guidance. We must humble
ourselves and seek for God's grace and support through happy or tough
times. God promises he would listen to every prayer. He never breaks his
promises.

過祈禱我們可以自我反省。而且我們也可以跟天主談任何事情。祂絕對不會跟別人透漏我們所跟他說的東西。祈禱也讓我們求他給我們力量和幫助。在主的面前我們
必須擁有謙虛的心，這樣，我們才可以求祂賜給我們恩典和
支持。無論我們是活在幸福或苦難中，他都會悄悄地扶我們一把。天父爸爸答應過祂一定會聆聽每一個子女的祈禱。祂絕不吃言。
Whom do we Pray for? 我們為誰祈禱的？
Last
week, during the homily, our newly ordained deacon--Deacon Lam shared a
very special message. He asked us, for whom do we usually pray for? I
thought about it for a bit and almost automatically the answer "Myself"
came to my mind. However, Deacon Lam later explains that prayer is not
just about us. Yes, we can ask for help and guidance. However, we must
never forget to thank God for what he has done for us. Instead of making
our prayers so self centered, we must learn to pray for the sake of
God. We must thank him for his love and time in listening to our pleas.

週日，在彌撒的講道中， 我們的林執事跟我們分享了一個非常特別的道理。他問我們 “我們通常都是爲了誰才祈禱的？” 我想了一下下，然後就想到 【我自
己】 這個答案。可是林執事告訴我們，祈禱不只是爲了自己而禱，我們要無時無刻都記得讚美上主為我們做的一切。我們不可以那麼的自我中心地祈禱。我們要學
會為天父爸爸而祈禱。我們一定要記住感謝他的愛和 願意真心真意地傾聽我們的需求。
