The Colours of Autumn... A Trip to Black Diamond and Turner Valley, Alberta.

Beautiful tree outside Black Diamond Town Office
I love the Autumn season, the weather is not too hot or too cold, it is just right and well the best part is less insects are out. Unlike spring, where it is the time for them to grow and prosper. Another thing I reallly like about autumn is the fact that the leaves begin to change colours and it creates a whole new "nature's palette" for the season. From golden to yellow, to burgundy red, to orange, the colours paint a whole new picture around the whole environment. A more calming environment.

Last week, my family and I decided to go on a mini- road trip to watch the colour changes of the trees all around. We traveled south from our City into two smaller towns. One is know as Black Diamond and the other Turner Valley. I have travelled maybe once or twice down to Okotos, but not to these two little towns. And well I am glad I did!

Black diamond
When we arrived in Black Diamond, we weren't too suprised by how small the town was, rather, the beautiful view of the golden looking trees with two streams of fallen leaves on the side of the road. The view was absolutely amazing! check out my photos below~!
A beautiful stroll in a quiet alley on a wonderful afternoon...

Me and the BIG ROCK!

At First, we sort of road- tripped up our way to a place with a lot of trees, until we found this quiet little alley way that had an amazing view. I quickly requested to stop by this area to take a few photos! Here is a capture (right) of the wonderful view while strolling along with my family.

The BIG Rock...

On our way back we stopped by a historical
site which is known as The Big Rock, in the middle of the prarie feild is a huge Rock that according to the  signs and information given there, tumbled to the area it now resides some couple of thousand years ago. Take a look!

I absolutely love road trips, especially the ones that aren't really planned. Our trip to Black Diamond and Turner Valley was not planned, we just went cause we all of  sudden felt like it. Actually, it was all thanks to my Dad's co-worker who had suggested a few days before our trip.

Adventurous and curious is always one of the characteristics of my family. We LOVE to travel!
On our way home!!
